Station to Accommodation Transfers

Visitors alighting at Saumur train station are often shocked to find how hit & miss finding a taxi can be.  We’ve heard many tales of waits of more than an hour, particularly during the evening and on Sundays.

The surprises aren’t limited to availability – the cost of a taxi can also be unexpectedly high.  The price per km is typically double the price charged in the capital city.

Whilst Uber is present in the area, the service is not widespread and you should expect to wait considerably longer than you might be used to.  Best to arrange this option well in advance rather than upon arrival.

If you prefer to go with a regular taxi we strongly recommend pre-booking.  You should also follow up with a reminder call 30 mins before your anticipated arrival time.

OR if you are renting bikes from us, we can pick you up from the station and take you, your luggage and your bikes to your accommodation –  we charge less than the taxis and will definitely be there!
