How to get to the Saumur Tank Museum from the train station

The Musée des Blindés (Tank Museum) in Saumur has a huge collection of tanks and attracts visitors from all over the world. But when arriving by train – how to get there?  Its too far to walk and taxis are few and far between – Uber? whats that?!

One option that has worked very well for many tank enthusiasts is to rent bikes from SaumurBikeHire.  You are met at the station with your bikes and are free to make your own way across to the other side of town, stopping off for a coffee and croissant in the ‘centre ville’.  After you have had enough of the hundreds of armoured vehicles, you can then hop on your bikes back to one of over forty restaurants for something to eat.
